Recently under new ownership, Robert and Beth Carette began day to day operation of Marina Cay on January 1, 2015. Marina Cay is a name that is synonymous with Bigfork and summer fun. With condo lodging, 2 restaurants, 3 bars, and the 3,500 sq ft. conference center, the Marina Cay is a full service resort and business center.
The Carette’s are hands on owners that value the relationship between business and community. The addition of the Conference Center brings attention to the business meeting, wedding and banquet aspects of the business all open to the community. Marina Cay is open to the public 7 days a week featuring a full service restaurant, tiki bar, and lounge with gaming machines, pools and hots tubs. Marina Cay’s own Dock of the Bay is a one stop shop for boaters consisting of a convenience store, watercraft rentals, and boat fuel for all guests and the community. Wild Wave Boat Rentals, located at the Dock of the Bay, provides boat, jet ski, kayaks and paddleboards for rent. Located right in the marina is AAble Fishing Charters offering full day to half day fishing trips out on Flathead Lake.
Marina Cays’ location provides a relaxing sun soaked environment for enjoying a cocktail, beer and delicious Polynesian themed menu items. Whether you’re looking for a place to take the family for a vacation or wanting to grab a drink and get out on the lake, Marina Cay offers excellent service, quality condos, great food and bayside dining.
Robert & Beth Carette have been visitors to Bigfork on an annual basis, having spent their honeymoon at the Marina Cay, 21 years ago this July. Bigfork has always been a vacation spot for them and their 3 children. The Carette’s have been coming here with the family ever since their 1st child was born, and even bought a home in Wood’s Bay for retirement. “Bigfork, it would seem, chose us” Robert stated. “The acquisition of the Marina Cay Resort property was in some ways, a dream that has become a reality. Bigfork has a warm and welcoming feel. When you combine that with the natural beauty of water and mountains, it is unbeatable.”
